📍 Status update (Jul 12): PR #18 merged — feat(settings): add WAL lifecycle probe for .qrate file design (ASNT-16). This is a design-validation spike, not the real feature yet: crates/settings/examples/qrate_wal_probe.rs confirms the function-call form PRAGMA wal_checkpoint(TRUNCATE) reliably leaves no -wal/-shm companion files behind, vs. the assignment-form SQL which behaves differently. This unblocks Phase 0 of this task — the actual per-project .qrate SQLite container/schema still needs to be built using that confirmed checkpoint approach.
